You cannot matchmake into a UEFN island with five or more players in your party. If you do, you’ll receive an error when attempting to matchmake in
Same issue here.
Could we please get your UEFN and Client logs for this issue? For good measure, some screenshots of your current Experience Settings that apply to matchmaking would be helpful as well.
@SnowSoftServe see above
We have not been able to connect into the same session with just 2 players. The player in the lobby receives a “… cannot play this game mode at this time” message. And the player in the session sees errors in the log.
@Rynex_FNC @DustinREDGames If either of you have time to collect UEFN and Client logs we’d appreciate your help as well

@DustinREDGames Thanks! Just curious, are the logs you shared from the same user who saw the ContentBeaconError in your above screenshot?
The above logs are from my PC, I was in the session. Here are the logs from the player in the lobby:

Hi, sorry just saw this! We’re doing a test in a few minutes with 5 players and I’ll send you the logs then. Here is the experience settings device on the island.
Same issue with just 2! Have never been able to matchmake with more than 1 for months. Reported many times.
Per the test with Alliance & Friends we believe this issue could be tied to the “Split Evenly” setting in Team Size (this is just a theory as of now I haven’t been able to discuss with the team). @AxelCapek any chance you have this setting turned on as well?
Our team size is set to dynamic with 2 teams, but still unable to connect with more than 1 player into sessions.
We are still seeing this and it has become a major hinderance. Has anyone else found a work around for this issue? We cannot join even one additional player into a game.
@DustinREDGames What is your max players at?
Until a fix comes through I have set our map to 20 players max with team split at 2.
This lets us have 2 teams of 5 for testing. (The game is 10 players max)
This is not ideal for launch though…
Our max players is set to 5, teams set to 2, and size set to dynamic. We would like to have 2 teams:
- Team 1: 1 player
- Team 2: 4 players
Hey @Cardin @DustinREDGames the team is actively looking into all sorts of matchmaking issues. Some issues have already been fixed in later builds and others are currently being worked on. I’ll try to get some information for you both on this topic today. Thanks!
Any progress on this issue? Still not working in 23.50
Hi @DustinREDGames lots of matchmaking fixes have been added to future builds so while 23.50 might not have much improvement you should hopefully see some changes in the near future. Thanks!
This still appears to be broken in 24.00. We have been unable to connect in any multiplayer context for well over a month now and it is really hindering our project’s progress.

Has anyone overcome this issue after having it with some sort of work arounds that they can share?
-
Can we get an ETA on when this issue may be fixed?
Thanks
Rory
