I don’t know if this would be better answered on the forums, or here, I’ll try here first. I recently started using MagicaVoxel for a project of mine, and it’s going well, and I got the VOX4U plugin to import .VOX formats, however there seems to be an issue with .Obj vs .Vox and I’m not sure if anyone here knows how to fix it. I have this screenshotted - http://i.imgur.com/gxH1MYX.png the left asset is .Obj and the one on the right is .VOX format. The one on the right is the proper color it should be, however there’s significantly more triangles, and such on the .VOX format since it’s not optimizing the mesh when exporting like in the .Obj. I would prefer using .Obj since it’s more optimized, however the .VOX has the actual colors the models should be. Anyway to fix it so they show up properly on the .Obj file format? Or would this be better answered somewhere else?
- I have tried using the .VOX materials that are automatically generated on the .Obj file but it’s the same colors as the model on the left in the picture.
