Hi. A friend of mine has a MacBook Pro Max and Unreal 5 installed. The shadow of a spotlight is not the same compared to my machine (Windows). Has Unreal 5 any limitations on Mac?
It’s a vary vague question. You’ll have to figure out what kind of lighting is creating the shadow, then google that & support for MacOS.
@SIRTJames Thank you. Our goal with Unreal is to achieve realistic stills and animations (cinematics). I noted that some setups are missing on Mac. No way to use raytracing. Talking to some people about Mac and Unreal, I convinced him to buy a good PC laptop.
as a Mac user at home, i feel the pain, but PC is the way to go right now.
As you are a Mac user, your opinion is very valuable. Thank you for sharing. ![]()
Hey guys, Mac Pro 16 here. Im attempting to reuse blueprints from previous projects to save on time but I am unable to reuse files, im thinking because of their default saved format…any solution?
How did you import the files? I’ve had more luck using the Migration Feature from within the project that contains the blueprints (right click > asset actions > migrate).
