Lumen in medium or low settings

Hello everyone.

So this is more me asking for advice on what should be done. So in our project we are using lumen for our global illumination lighting. I know that setting the GI scalability to medium or low means lumen wont work and it goes to SSGI. Iv havent noticed a large difference in lighting when going from high to medium except for in an interior cave section of our level. On medium it is too bright and on high its lit correctly with most of the light comming from point lights and other artificial lighting.

We are too far in to change our global ilumination method to anything else as iv done all the lighting using Lumen. Is there something i can do to help balance between SSGI and Lumen in my darker cave area. I just cant figure out why the cave in SSGI is SO bright

For reference here are the screenshots.

For now we have a blueprint for when you run into the cave it forces your GI settings to high but this isnt the best solution as it lags your game when you run in and out of the cave.

When you move scalability to medium ( or low ), Lumen switches off, and you have to compensate with the skylight.

For dark areas ( live a cave ) you have to turn it down. I’m working on a cave scene, and found .25 is good. For outside areas, you will need to turn it up a bit.
