Hi there . Are you still looking for artist ? i am a 2d / 3d concept artist and would be interested in some work , here is a link to my portfolio : https://www.artstation.com/cherubiel_art
Nice Game Dev Recruitment Video. I think its a great way to approach recruitment. You’ve inspired me to start creating one for my game.
Developing 3 different games at the same is pretty cool. But...
I’m Curious. Have you considered merging them into one Game Concept?
I was also working on multiple games simultaneously. I merged them all into one project and something magical happened. My development time significantly improved and I discovered cool mechanics sharing between the projects.
Who isn’t . @Neongho, you are most likely facing the same issues I am with enticing active Game Devs to participate in your project.
Issues:
Most Game Devs in this community are here to develop their own game concepts and would rather spend their precious time on their developing their own game. (I do NOT blame them)
Royalty-based Projects are not very enticing because there is 0 guarantee of payment. In fact, there is 0 guarantee of publishing a product after putting in massive amounts of time (and money) into it.
My Game Concept too niche, not popular.
My Game Dev Youtubes are ugly, jerky and boring, not entertaining at all.
A couple of these issues I could fix with more time, but with these issues, expect NO one to offer assistance ( except for FEElancers ).
After 5 years of unsuccessful recruiting, I’ve accepted this as fate, and adjusted my approach to game dev for solo development.
My skillsets are in Blueprints/Programming, not Media Content Creation, so I’m leveraging my Programming Skills, Generative AI tools, and Marketplace Assets to create content.
I spent all of my 15,000 Budget on Marketplace Assets. I realized I get more than just an Asset, I get support, community, and game dev conversation. Thus, I rather spend money with a Publisher in the Marketplace then with a FEElancer (due to several bad experiences).
NOTE: I’m not here to be a Programmer. I’m here to assemble a apps/games and publish them by the most rapid means possible. I have 0 interest in programming or scripting. I do it, because I have too.
I only program features i consider to be innovations because available examples do not exist and they require design and testing. I see no value in recreating game mechanics/features that already exists / has been seen before. I rather acquire common features pre-packaged and modify to fit my goals.
I’m now redesigning several of my game concepts to be achieved with what I can do and have access too. Not the vision I originally had in my mind’s eye, which is always using content i don’t have access too.
I enjoy Shooters, thus, LSF: Liberation Special Forces is a game that resonates with me. Whats are the hooks that will bring players/sell. How will it standout amongst the popular Military Shooters with strong followings? They are hard to compete with and I personally would not even try. Add Aliens. LOL.
Hello tech lord I enjoy your words you seem to be facing the same dilema as me, people does not want to create video games rather other stuff…
Money is sweet but come on someone has to work…
No work no game?

Well at least I can say I tried to make cool video games, I know the industry is not very serious, you have that people plays 100 GBs games, 50 Eur games, in a OS of 100 Eur and they don’t even care lol
at some point this monopoly will crash maybe or maybe not, BUT when it will I will be ready.
I think the primary dilemma is naturally inherent to this type of Game Dev Community: Game Devs are here to develop their own game concepts ( I’m one of them and You are too ). My goal is to appeal to Game Devs who may be frustrated going the journey Solo.
I purchased LSF on Steam. You did not mention it was published. That is a BIG DEAL. I want to achieve that milestone desperately. LSF Drone Implementation is really Nice. That would be a Cool Asset to have in the Marketplace for sure.
It’s true I did not get the amount of interest I was expecting for my primary game project, but truth be told it may be too ambitious. So, I initiated another that’s based on what I have access too and is more flexible in design over here.
I would summarize the new Shooter Game concept as Call Of Duty: Extinction meets PIXELS Movie but… Zero (0) cutesiness. It will be dark like a Left4Dead Survivor Horror. I enjoy various types Shooters with ultratech/magic and giant monsters, so all my game concepts feature these elements . I’ve acquired over 14,000 USD in Marketplace assets over the years and its time to use them!
I’ve managed to attract a couple of other Game Devs. So I’m very excited about it. Have you considered joining another project? I have and I did. Remember my primary game project? We’ll I joined HeadlessStudios Team to participate in its development 5 years ago.
