The primary objective is to publish as soon as possible. I save massive time by starting with something playable in multiplayer. This allows me to focus on developing new features. I refuse to waste any time reinventing common (already seen) features.
Excellent Method. Its been a point of contention for me in performing melee. I elected to use the same projectile subsystem as i do for guns (one system for all). The results are interesting. Think of it as using a rapid fire machine gun from the handle, using the bullets to trace out the path. The other technique is to create a trajectory spline path and move the projectile along it procedurally.
