Lightshaft Blueprint Flickering

Hello,

I’m facing a problem using the GodRay’s BP from the blueprint project by Epic.
I migrated it to my own project (4.7). Everything is working properly except for one thing, my lightshaft is flickering .

Here is my problem in video : - YouTube

There is another post with my problem : Why are my light shafts flickering on/off at certain angles? - AnswerHub - Unreal Engine Forums but i do not understand where to find “BP’s bounds”.

I am pretty new and if somebody can point me to a direction where to start

Thanks,

Limpieza

Hi Limpieza,

If you select the Blueprint in the scene you can look in the details panel for “Bounds Scale.” The default value is 1.0.

You may just need to adjust this value slightly to keep it rendered in the scene longer. Try a value between 1.1 and 1.25. That should be enough, but may need to go slightly higher. I wouldn’t use a very high value for this though.

Let me know if that helps.

Tim

Hi,
Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately i do not see this settings in the detail pannel

I looked in my project (4.7) and in the Blueprints project (4.6), either case i do not see it.

You need to select the individual lightshaft component within the blueprint. Also it would be good to do that inside of the blueprint editor rather than the details of the placed BP in the world since that will only modify that instance/
