Lightmap Density View - Objects are light brown

Hi , this was probably asked before but i somehow i could not find the answer. Here it goes:

  • I have a scene filled with static meshes. But after building light to see lightmap densities some of the objects are light brown and i cant figure out how to fix that. Also gettin the error message for multiple objects
“component is a static type but has invalid lightmap settings indirect lighting will be black”

  • I checked the documents, it says skeletal meshes are excluded from calculations and will be light brown. I verified all my meshes are static meshes.

  • All Lightmap UV’s (even the ones that can be calculated inside) were created beforehand carefully in the modeling program and i also checked them after getting the error.

  • When i imported the meshes with that issue individually and i saw their lightmap density views are fine

  • When i imported the scene with a bigger size than the original, only some of object went fine but most of my lightmap density turned blueish

I’ll be glad to hear your suggesstions

Thanks in advance

I’m having the same issue. All polygon static mesh FBX imported from Maya and the lightmap density is brown. I didn’t have this issue in 4.7

You’ve probably imported the mesh as a static mesh, or set the blueprint the mesh is in as movable. These objects do not get calculated in the light bake because they could move.
