Lighting Issue

Hi There,

I’m currently creating a small mine cart type scene in Unreal and have hit a weird issue with my lighting. To enclose my cave I’ve just used rock meshes and in some areas of my scene it seems that lighting is creeping in and ruining the atmosphere. I’ve tried to make sure there is no lighting leaks coming from outside also. In the editor scene i tried toggling off Global Illumination and it seemed to help but once lighting was built and the scene was played, the lighting issues still occurred. Is there anyway to completely remove all background/sky/light kinda like UDK, where your map was just completely dark till you added your own lighting?

Here are some pictures showing where the issue lies.

You can delete the directional light, plus the sky objects from the scene. And then you need to go into the World Settings and change the environment color

Also make sure your lightmap resolutions are high enough.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll give it a shot.
