I’m setting up a basic scene, nothing big, just a log cabin I made in Maya imported into a scene with a few basic lights.
However, when building the lights, these weird artifacts show up around the model. Check it out:
Hmm. Seems like a lightmap problem. I’m not an expert on this, but I would say you should just screw around with your lightmap settings for a little while. It could also be a problem with your UVs, but TBH I’m not entirely sure what causes this.
It does change a little bit when I increase lightmap resolution, but it’s still broken. As for my UV’s, what would be something to look out for? I’m really messy on that aspect of modeling.
If you mean those black(ish) parts on the roof…
Maybe you have overlapping faces or flipped normals… or just in your lightmap uv you have those parts overlapping or outside the given uv space…
