Light Shuttering Issue

Hi, I have a little problem with the lighting when shone at a slight angle along the face of an object. It creates a shuttering sort of effect. If I increase the angle of the light to the face it looks good. Is there a way to fix this?

I have played around with the light map density and it has no change to this. Is there anything or should I just change the sunlight angle as a workaround?

Hi!

If you use Dynamic Lighting only in your scene, you should change Shadow Bias. Also you can adjust the Shadow Filter Sharpness to get the best results.

But if you not planning to use Dynamic Lighting, then after building Lightmaps, shadow striping will disappear.

For more information about the lighting in UE4, please read this LightingTroubleshootingGuide.

Thank you. I was playing around with the object not the light source. Moving the bias up to 1.5 gives a decent result.
