Light bug on player character

I’ve tried all types of lights, in all types of states, I’ve neutralized auto exposure, but my character is still gaining a lot of random (indirect?) light from some source I can’t find. In this scene I’m using a movable and a static point light which is located above the character, and they are both pretty dim. As soon as my character is facing 90 degrees to the right, the character gains a lot of exposure/light somehow.

anyone have any idea what’s going on here?

So after fiddling around with basically all options for light I removed (and rebuilt) the light Lightmass importance volume, and it went back to normal again. I don’t know if I used it wrong, but it seems to be working just fine now.

If you run into this kind of an issue again you can enable Show > Visualize > Volume Lighting Samples to see indirect lighting sample density and colors to figure out if anything is wrong with the lighting.
