Landscape lit without lightning in square

Hello, this is how my landscape looks like without a single source of lightning, the center area of the landscape is lit in a square shape, even if i delete the landscape the actors are still lit in that area. Can anyone suggest me a solution?

Hi Magzard,

If this is a newly created level (the empty level option), this will use an UNLIT view mode until a light source has been added to the level, at which point it will default to using light sources for lighting, unless you use the Viewport > change the view mode from Lit to Unlit.

If this doesn’t appear to be the issue can you add a Directional light to your scene, then does the rest of the landscape show a material painted on it that is lit or is it meant to be black around the outer edges?

Thank you!

Tim

I added a Directional light, but still the same, and the outer edges should be black because i want to create a night scene, but because the center of the landscape is always lit i cannot start to use lightning for the night scene, i want everything black to start

What does your material look like that you’ve applied to the landscape? When you take a screenshot make sure the main material attributes node is selected and the screenshot includes the top most parameters on the top.

As a test to rule out your material, try making a simple material that is only a base color, like white or some other moderate base color. Then apply that to your landscape. If that’s still lit, there something other than the material causing it to stay lit.

The outer area has the same material, so i dont think that’s the case but here’s my landscape mat.
