Landscape Architect

Hopefully it comes out by the end of the year, or sometime early 2018 when I’m done with everything else. This just might become my favorite tool, above NeoFur. Seems like the author has been prioritizing updates to Dungeon Architect more, and haven’t heard anything on here for a while. :frowning:

This looks fantastic! particularly the voxel terrain! It’ll be brilliant to see this on the marketplace as soon as it is ready :slight_smile:

Hey Ali, sorry if this has already been asked, but will this plugin support runtime terrain generation?

I am not the author of LA, but I get the impression as the terrain can be deformed at runtime, and is voxel based, it will indeed supportruntime generation

Does this have a theming set up like in dungeon arch? I’d really like to do a semi random generated world, but have specific things (towns, dungeons) still show up in specific places. Also is there a way to do a low poly look to everything? Not minecrafty as was posted before, but more like the one attached?

How can I get my hands on something this awesome?!, I have a project in which I need the ability to morph the Terrain to create land bridges and path ways up hills and mountains during run time. I’d like to work something out with you if possible.

Is it coming out soon? Cause it sounds like what we need right now, I am thinking about creating my own procedural generator, but if it would already be done, then no point in reinventing the wheel :wink:

I mean you could always send Ali a message and offer to give him a helping hand.

There is lots of point in having different implementations! Competition, different features, different ideas, inspiring each other.

Not so much point in seeing a thread which is already 50% people asking “When is it out?” - then adding another question the same!

Ali has already gotten the message we want to know when it is gonna be ready, and not given an answer. This probably means he is not sure, and that it will not be for sometime.
This is a shame, as it looks like it has long been in a useful state for many of us - but really, another bunch of people asking is not going to increase the chance of us getting an answer or a release sooner.

My suggestion - yeah! get writing your own implementation! Perhaps you can be first to market with a competitive system - or at least get your game out without waiting for an unknown amount of time.

Failing that - subscribe to this thread and wait. (not sure how much I can recommend that, I am getting tempted to unsubscribe)
