Summary
Hello Epic Team,
There is a serious issue with the built-in Fortnite nameplate system in UEFN that doesn’t match Creative 1.0 behavior:
In Creative 1.0, enabling “Always Show To All” allowed all player nameplates (including enemies) to be visible at unlimited distance, regardless of team.
In UEFN, even with “Always Show To All” enabled, enemy nameplates are hard-capped at ~150 meters, while teammate nameplates remain infinite as expected.
This is a big problem for my island because:
My game is an open-world party game with multiple teams, where spotting other players across large distances is core to the experience.
Because enemy nameplates disappear at 150m, players think there’s no one else in the world, which ruins the immersion and gameplay experience in large-scale maps.
We currently have no Verse API or HUDController option to override this restriction

Island Settings
Steps to Reproduce
Create an island with at least 2 teams in UEFN.
Set Player Nameplates → Always Show To All in island settings.
Playtest in a live session: enemy nameplates vanish beyond ~150 meters, while teammates’ nameplates remain visible infinitely.
Expected Result
“Always Show To All” should actually override any default distance limits for all players (just like Creative 1.0)
Observed Result
Enemy nameplates vanish after ~150m, breaking the intended open-world experience for multi-team party games.

Additional Notes
Note: All related settings across Teams, Island Options, and Class Designer nameplate configurations are fully synchronized and identical, confirming this is not a misconfiguration issue
This issue heavily impacts large map designs and makes UEFN feel inconsistent compared to Creative 1.0.
Please investigate or provide a way to remove the hard distance limit on enemy nameplates when the island setting explicitly says “Always Show To All”.
Thank you.
