So I have asked questions about Virtual Texture Streaming on here before and haven’t really seen any responses but i’ll ask again!
I’ve been looking forward to a texture atlasing system in unreal for a while but it hasn’t happened yet. I remember the Coalition talking about how they were trying to get it working… But I just started playing with udims using Virtual Texture Streaming and just wondering… Why not use this as a texture atlasing system? Am I wrong here?
So far it’s been more than a year I think since VST was introduced and i’m pretty dissapointed at the information and resources out there. I don’t think anyone is using it I guess?
Is VST with UDIMs pretty much the same thing as texture atlasing?
