I am very used to working like this in various 3d progams and it really helps speed up my productivity

After adding a light to the level, make sure it is selected and click the drop down arrow in the top left of your viewport. Select “LockViewport to Actor” and choose “Selected Actor” which should be your light. Hope this helps and good luck in your projects.
For anyone googling, in UE5, select any Actor (e.g. a light), and press CTRL + SHIFT + P
