Is there a way to get light shafts on a pointlight? As far as I know I can only do this on a directional light.
Is there a way to get something similar on a pointlight? Here’s an example for what i want to achieve:
If you mean god rays, then yes. It works exactly the same way was the directional light.
You need exponential height fog in the scene with ‘volumetric fog’ enabled. Then just crank up the ‘volumetric scattering’ parameter on the point light. ( make it moveable ).
I’m already using volumetric lights but it doesn’t really look how I want. Like it doesn’t have that “god rays” effect like the light shaft on the directional light. I have enabled the “cast volumetric shadows”
Thanks for the reply anyway!
Did you increase the volumetric scattering?
Naturally, it needs to be in a compatible scenario ( I mean dark with light flooding in ).
Otherwise, I found it the same as the directional light.
