Summary

I found a change/bug in the behavior of the ‘Is Sky’ setting in materials. Previously if you had a material set to Is Sky True you would be able to see the material for all angles and it would allow uefn clouds to appear in front of the material. After a recent update if you have a material set to Is Sky True the material does not show above the horizon. The entire uefn sky background obscures the material.

Steps to Reproduce

Texture a large cube with a material set to Is Sky True. View asset in the editor and the material will not be visible above the horizon.

Expected Result

Is Sky True materials should be visible 360 deg but should allow uefn clouds to appear in front of the material.

Observed Result

Is Sky True material do not appear above the horizon any more.

Thank you for looking into this!

Appreciate the reply!

I hope this can get fixed soon. It GREATLY affects how maps look especially themed maps that are outside. Think of all the maps that will not look good for Halloween, etc.
