Is it possible to hook into light mode / dark mode platform preferences for game screen display?

First post, ever.

This isn’t for the editor; it’s for players of the game I want to develop.

What I’d like to do is to reflect player preferences for playing in well-lit areas with white screens that are easier to read in well-lit spaces, while changing to darker screens if the user has dark mode activated (and switching if they use a third-party switcher).

Generally, this is going to mean reading the Windows Registry on Windows, but what about other platforms like Android, *nix, and Apple-based products?

And, since I’m working on a Windows machine with a Windows target, how could I read the Registry from UE5 (I’m using the latest 5.7.3 update, if it really counts)?
