We are starting to use Unreal Engine in a College where the students Document folder is mapped to a network drive. When making a new project there is an error message saying the folder path is invalid and so we can’t create a project. Are you able to create projects and save them on network drives?
Thank you.
Hi,
We have this same issue here at Pitbull, as our documents folders are also mapped to network drives. As far as I know there isn’t a workaround apart from saving to a local drive.
To be honest, the performance problems (level/texture streaming, load times etc.) you would get over a network drive might make it pretty painful to work with, even if you could.
I thought that might be the case. Thank you for the quick response.
