I have just finished Stephen Ulibarri’s Rune Sword texturing course in Substance Painter. I have followed the export and import process but my mesh is looking a bit misaligned and angular in UE5.5.
I found a possible solution to double-click the Static Mesh and enable ‘Use Full Precision UVs’ in the Build Settings which has made it better but still not resolved it entirely.
It looks like its using the lowpoly proxy mesh. Usually that’s what it is when you see curves get lowpoly like that. That happens when trying to use Nanite and something is incompatible, such as the material being translucent.
What is the material like?
You shouldn’t need to do anything weird like “use precision UVs”.
