Imported model and material do not look correct in UE5.5

Hi,

I have just finished Stephen Ulibarri’s Rune Sword texturing course in Substance Painter. I have followed the export and import process but my mesh is looking a bit misaligned and angular in UE5.5.

I found a possible solution to double-click the Static Mesh and enable ‘Use Full Precision UVs’ in the Build Settings which has made it better but still not resolved it entirely.

Pics below.

Have you looked at the answers in this post? https://www.reddit.com/r/unrealengine/comments/1cu1cxy/substance_to_unreal_is_absolutely_horrible/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Substance to UE is usually creating problems (without doing a few small fixes) due to how the materials work in the engines.

Thanks @XxpiingyxX, I will have a look at that thread tomorrow.

Thanks again for link.

I’ve gone through the settings suggestions and haven’t found anything that fixes how my model is looking in Unreal.

I will keep looking and learning. Thanks @XxpiingyxX

Sorry I haven’t come back to this sooner.

I found the solution to my issue was resolved when I turned off Nanite support for the static mesh.

The screenshot below shows the model with the normal map disabled and the issue showing then with Nanite disabled and the issue not showing.
