Imported Fbx have materials swapped


I’m using blender and unreal. When i import a fbx file the materials are always swapped. For example if i make a cube and put 6 colors materials on each face it will import all the materials but on diferent faces.

I managed a work around, on unreal. I need to place the mesh on the world outliner, then control+x and then do control+z. This fix the issue but i want to know what i’m doing wrong.

Same problem here in 4.17.

I found out that in the mesh editor you can uncheck and check any “cast shadow” checkbox under any material in the details panel and it will reestablish the correct assignment of materials to faces. However, when doing import of files with a lot of objects it is quite time consuming.
