I'm having issues with the first person camera

I’m have not been able to change a couple of things relating to the camera.
1.) Base eye height - I know this was a reported bug but I still cannot change this setting (in 4.10.3). I change the base eye height in the character settings but player in game eye level remains exactly the same whether it is set to 200 or 1000.
2.) I cannot seem to turn off eye adaptation. Have tried a number of things but they don’t seem to have any impact on the default setting shown in the camera.

Just in case anyone else has this issue I eventually figured it out: I had to add the settings in the blueprint AND had to drag a post processing volume onto the level and change its settings in the eye adaptation min max brightness to 1.

Oh, and the work around for me for the eye height issue in first person was to make a first person PC from the 3rd person template.
