I was using a Slide effect material on meshes and that is the same, it has happened before and took a long time to get fixed so hoping this time people don’t have to wait as long.
I have the same issue. The Chiller Trap effect appears, but the player does not slide in playtest. In UEFN it seems to work normally, but in the test version the sliding does not happen.
My map is suffering from this same issue. It utilizes the grind powerup coupled with a movement modulator that applies impulse. A few months ago this would result in the player being pushed forward and sliding. Now it’s almost like the player has increased friction, and they barley move.
I’ve just noticed the issue is still happening in a clients map. Pretty much the same issue the dev reported here. Grind Powerup or Ice Trap’s just don’t provide any momentum anymore in private/published codes, but they work in edit sessions as expected.
So it’s very frustrating to even try work around in terms of making the levels easier as we have to publish every time to test.
