Chiller Trap effect not working outside of UEFN (Playtest & Published)

Summary

I have a chiller trap in my island, and in uefn it works fine. The player slides very easily and can go sliding off into the distance.

However, when I create a playtest, the effect is no longer there. It seems like there’s a bit less friction, but no major sliding.

This seems to also be the case in other icy islands I have looked at.

This ruins the level I am trying to create for my island.

Steps to Reproduce

All settings are default so I assume it’s as simple as:

  1. Place a Chiller Trap in your island
  2. Test in editor
  3. Create a playtest
  4. Test in playtest

Expected Result

The Chiller Trap sliding effect should be precisely the same in both UEFN and in the private playtest.

Observed Result

The Chiller Trap effect does not work appropriately in the private playtest or published version. The sliding effect is gone or extremely minimal.

Additional Notes

Absolutely nothing is changed between clips, other than uploading to private playtest

I have also encountered this issue. It seems like all devices that should produce the sliding effect bugs out in a published map. I’ve tested it with the Chiller Trap, Ice Block Floor and the Grind Powerup, none of them gives the desired slide effect like they used to in the past.

It works perfectly well when you launch a session from UEFN, but will not produce the slide effect in a published or private version of the map.
