HUDInfo Box does not show

Ive seen some maps have this cool leaderboard for points. I saw a few console tutorials on youtube using the ingame Creative 2.0 settings. The issue im having is I am doing the exact same settings in UEFN yet when I launch a session it does not show the cool leaderboard on my end.
The Settings I Set from Tutorial:

  • In IslandSettings, Elimination Score set to 1.0
  • In IslandSettings, HUD Info Type set to Score

These are the only settings that everyone has set in the tutorials to get the leaderboard to show yet mine does not. Would be a great help to get a solution for this.

Small note: I did also put in a HUD Controller when trying to debug this bug and set the Show HUDInfo Box to Yes. Still did not work.

@Volak Thank you for your report! We would like to look into this further, would you be able to submit a bug report using the form available here? Fortnite Creative

Can you add a link to the tutorial you used, I’ll see if I can replicate my end.

On a side note tho, ive been doing alot of advanced verse work. Where do I do the advanced tutorial so I can also get the licensed badge? There is zero information online on how to get it, would be a big help to get info on that <3

It just doesnt show in the edit session, upload it to a private code and test it that way and your leaderboard will show

I tried that, but that did not work.

It worked for me in launched session, this is the setting I used, it’s unchecked by default

Yea, I also have the same setting but mine not working. So idk if its a bug on their end but im yet to have any project or session show the leaderboard when in Session.

Even have the Hud controller device with the show hudinfo box enabled yet still nothing.

Yeah, has to be a bug, it’s that simple.

Did you try this on a blank map ?
Do you have anyone to go onto your island to see if it works for them ?

I made a brand new project island, uninstalled and reinstalled both fortnite and uefn. Tried on my alt account to test out multiplayer. No luck. Im like the bug magnet on my team lol.

And youve tried uploading to a private code? They always show there for me but not in edit sessions.

Hello, as others have mentioned, you need to set Elimination Score to something higher than zero. Additionally, you need to set HUD Info type to ‘Score’.
I just created a new project in UEFN and used the Simple Island template. I updated ONLY these two settings, launched the session and it displays as expected.
It will not show in Edit mode, you need to start the match.

If that doesn’t work, you can also try deleting hte folder where UEFN saves cached data. You can find it here C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\Intermediate\ValkyrieUploadTemp
After you delete the folder, restart your PC and open UEFN and try again.

Deleted the cache folded as suggested. I got both of the settings set to what you have. I launched the session and still nothing. I submitted a bug report and got an email saying nothing could be done from that route in seeking a solution.

It does sometimes bug out in uefn edit sessions though (it used to in creative mode too) and refuse to display - a restart usually fixes it though - it always seems to work in the published version for me though

I can confirm that it will not show in a UEFN session until I publish a private island. After publishing, it appears in my UEFN session. It looks like a bug to me, but at least there is a work around.

Just wanted to Echo it here for others that may end up spending HOURS banging your head against this…

I could not see scores on the career scoreboard or HUD until I published a private version of the island. Now scores are showing properly even when in edit mode.

This is 100% a bug, and a root of many hours of headaches.
