How would I fix light leakage?

Hello,

So I’m relatively new to working in unreal, and have been having an issue for a while which I’ve been trying my best to just ignore after failing to find a proper solution through searching around the internet.

It appears that there is external light leakage through the seams of my models, and I have linked screenshots of that & the box room model that I’m using to demonstrate this along with it’s UV.

If anyone could provide me with a fix to this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi!

I would say that you keep your lightmap resolution in Unreal too low res!
With this kind of uv layout you’ll need at least 1024 res!! /imo this layout is not ideal
Basically what happens now is that your low res lightmap doesn’t have an accurate lighting information and the outer light area is “pulled over” to the inner sides too…
