How to use Lighting Tools flags?

Under the Build button menu → Lighting Info → Lighting Tools we can enable some flags, but they seem to have no effect and I cannot find any documentation about them anywhere.

I’ve tried enabling them and building lighting, but they seem to have no effect. I expected to see a change in the viewport after lighting is built or am I misunderstanding something here? The flags sound extremely useful, but I don’t understand how to work with them.

It’s legacy, the properties do nothing, and has been removed from 4.8.

Ah, too bad, thanks for your reply! Do you perhaps know of other flags that allow similar functionality? I’ve been meaning to view the singled out impact of direct and indirect lighting, but cannot find an obvious way.
We’re trying to find out what is causing overexposed lighting in our level when we build it with a build farm.
