how to remove dark spots on the landscape and how to make it realistic
im not sure but “building light” might fix the issue.
Thanks, i will try
I’m having a issue with one big dark spot on my landscape (doesn’t look like picture from original post)
in lighting only view it seems to go away
detail lighting view its barely visible
and when i try to repaint it does this but them comes right back
i thought it might be a cloud or mountain but ive turned them all off and on and no change. ive saved and reloaded. deleted this section of landscape and remade it. im not that good with materials or lighting so any help would be greatly appreciated!
and when i lower the weightmap alpha from 1 to 0.5 the spot gets considerably darker.
i dont understand materials much at all if anyone could even point me in a direction ill try to figure it out but ive tried adjusting everything i can think of as of now. i dont understand why there a spot only here and in this odd shape???
so it comes from one of my paint layers which is apart of an automaterial. if i turn “no weight blend” off in that layers properties it fixes the problem but then that paint layer does not blend with the other layers on the landscape making it look ugly.
i found a work around which is even stranger for me… i put a dab of the lake bed paint where the dark spot was and it just disappears…. cant even see the dab i put down so i guess that works for now. would still like to figure out why this was happening
