How to properly light doors/movable objects?

Hello, I have this problem where I designed a hallway with stationary lights placed around. Everything seems properly lit except the doors, which are really dark in contrast to the walls. I’ve read about how movable objects are hard to light with static or stationary lights but I haven’t found a solution do this. Anyone can help? I’ll post pictures.

I recreatet the Scene and here is my Soloution.
on the Left side there are Static “Doors”
and on the right side there are Movable “Doors”

First Picture is the same as yours that the “Doors” are dark.

SecondPicture are the “Doors” brighter and fit better in the environment

and here are my settings for this:

I put a Sphere Reflection in it and
most Important
I Increase the Light Quality to High
decrease the “Volumetric Lightmap Detail Cell Size”
and the other settings as shown in the World settings Tab.

Then it Worked.

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer! I tried decreasing the volumetric lightmap detail cell size and it did help a bit. However the sphere reflection didn’t do much. It does look better, but I still need a bit more light. If I try changing world settings to yours settings like static light level scale or indirect lighting smoothness I get really dirty spots around my walls. I’ll keep trying playing with the settings.

Hey, sounds great.

This dirty Spots could mean the “LightNoise” try to increase the Light Quality to Production and maybe try out another reflection type. Like Planar or Box Reflection.
There are some Videos from EpicGames covering the Light Issue a bit.
