I’ve been having this issue where I can’t figure out how to make a material billboard unaffected by lighting. As you can see, the material presents correctly in the material editor, and in the viewport where I made it. However, when I place it in my level it’s affected by lighting and becomes really washed out. When I switch the level to “unlit” the billboard looks correct, so I know it’s a lighting issue. I’ve tried setting the material to be unlit, but it still renders the same. How can I achieve this? Thanks.
Do you need a material billboard? Because that will always gets affected, just a little bit, but it is there (as far as I know). You could use a normal billboard and just plug the texture in. Then you have the colors you would expect. Or you have to adjust the material.
Thank you! That was exactly what I was looking for. I was confused when I tried switching to a billboard in the editor and it looked really yellowish in the viewport, but in-game it looks fine. Thanks for your help!
