Somebody knows how to create light shafts? (In udk there was a option with that you could do that, but where is it in the rocket beta?)

Has there been any movement on this?
This feature is still under development. We are hoping to see it implemented in a future build of Rocket, but there is not yet a concrete “release date”. I hope that this has helped to answer your question.

Screenspace light shafts, similar to the feature from UE3, will be brought back for UE4. It’s in the works, we just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
As others have pointed out, your particular screenshot was done with some planes using an additive material.
The lightshaft in your screenshot are made from simple planes and textures with a bit of translucency. Regarding the lightshaft like what was available in UE3, their are not present in any light properties in UE4. (I don’t know if this feature is planned for UE4).
I’m sure it is. I think I have seen some options about light shafts in config files
Hopefully it will be available in the Rocket ^^
I will try this with the planes. You can see the result in a post onto the epic games forum (in the rocket section) when my map is finished

Search Godray in Tools menu. Just ran into it in one of the example maps. I don’t know how it works just yet but that’s the way to go i suppose.
Lightshafts are implemented but turned off until Epic are happy with their quality.
Currently they are the same as UE3’s Lightshafts, I believe they are going to give them an update soon.
Is there a way to turn them on?
What about volumetric light shafts?
Is there any way to create light shafts with 3d model, and for example, use it’s shadowing from specified light source as opacity mask?
Is there an update on when Screenspace light shafts will be added? It’s been awhile.
