Hi there, I’ve been using Unreal engine 4 for a while and was wondering if you can create a tsunami in the editor. I am still a rookie at this but was wondering if you guys have any tips and tricks. A tutorial would be nice. Much appreciated, thanks!

What is it you want to create exactly? Just one big wave rolling up to some kind of shore?
The editor itself doesn’t come with such functionality. You have to build it on your own.
You might want to look at how to create a water surface first.
-you could do it in your material with tessellation -> like you create an ocean shader
-do it with a “wave” mesh that you move + a good water material
-try it with a particle system (but I think it wont look so good)
That is not the tsunami trademark. If just a big waves roles ashore, then its just a big wave.
Characteristic for a tsunami is the surge before the wave comes, where the sea level drops dramatically and the shore falls dry…
I guess it is some sort of tsunami but however if you watched interstellar, that big wave in the middle of the lake, I wan’t to recreate something like that. I wan’t to know if creating waves that big is possible?
Somewhat like this but I plan to have big waves in here.
