How to cast a static shadow in the CSM area?

Map for VR.
There is one directional light source in the scene, stationary. CSM is on.
Is it possible to manually select objects that will have only static lighting, because according to the standard, when they enter the CSM zone, they completely lose shading.


i.e. I want the green box to cast a static shadow in the CSM area

To my knowledge this is not possible, when CSM is enabled it will replace all stationary shadows within the CSM range.

If you only have a few moveable objects then you can disable CSM, and use Inset shadows instead. I wouldn’t advise this if you have a lot of moveable actors though as the cost can get out of control quickly.
