How can I use free character assets to ue4 base skeletal mesh?

I will download free low poly character of assets community.

It’s most of assets is just static mesh. But I want it use to skeletal mesh in ue4.

and I want can used base skeletal mesh to animation, too.

How can I do?

The Extension of character is .fbx or .blend.

You can use mixamo.com to make your static mesh a skeletal mehs. Then use animation retargeting. It allows you to retarget animations from the ue4 skeleton to the mixamo skeleton
