Ok, in the Content Browser add a World>HLOD layer
Go to the World Settings and set the default HLOD layer to the one you just created
Then try to Build HLODs
Okay. But first I have to compile the terrain, right?
No, it should be ready to go,
ok Thank you! Iāll try and let you know if it worked
question: why can creating a new HLOD layer solve the problem? I am compiling the hlod
Despite spending 45 minutes compiling, a banner appears with the message ācompilation failedā
It must be because the Build HLOD doesnāt create the HLOD layer and requires the user to make one.
OK something is stopping it, can you open Message Log and see if there is anything in HLOD results.
Did you update UEFN a few hours ago ?
The CEFRevisionControl has a timeout
Is that from the Perforce Revision Control ?
I donāt know much about it⦠I assume you used UE, I only started on UEFN.
Unreal Revision Control is recommended for using UEFN.
The red errors here I donāt think effect the Building of HLODs and are fairly common.
The GetOnlinePlatformType and CEF stuff is new to me, but looks problematic, I have no idea how to deal with that.
A thread about perforce has popped up
it looks like a fix is on the way, it could possibly help
I donāt think this issue has to do with perforce. Based no the image, it looks like @migue_mcr is using URC anyways.
Ah hah, so this is not Perforce, thanks for clearing that up,
I seen CEFRevisionControl there and had a little google back then and got my wires crossed.
I am also generally unable to build hlods. In one 5.5.1 project, it sorta worked for a moment but then seemingly stopped⦠the last thing i did was use the view mode to see the level of detail colorations. So i made an entirely new project, completely vanilla, make a vanilla new open world level, and without changing anything prompted to build hlods. I just got stuck on building, never proceeding.
last thing i tried was building in 5.4 with Electric Dreams pack and it just crashes in a vanilla level.
