Hi everyone, this is my first time here on the forum, so I don’t know if this is the right place or the right way to ask for help so I apologize in advance if I did something wrong. I have made this project for a client, but when they open it on VR they get those weird shadows, which I don’t have by the way, any idea on how to fix it?
P.s. I am just the artist, not the one who set the environment to be played on VR, that is something the client is handling by himself.
Hi Blooderz, Welcome to the Forums.
This is an acceptable place to post that question. - Platforms → XR Development would be best for VR specific issues IMO.
Screenshots or Videos of the problem would be essential here, as there are many flavors of ‘weird shadows’
Hi, thank you for your answer, I was sure I had uploaded some images, guess I was wrong.
Here is a screenshot, I do have a video and other screen but it doesn’t allow me to upload it.
Thanks for that,
Ah, I think there are some restrictions on image posting for first-posts.
The first things to experiment with could be the shadow settings on the lights that are casting the shadows, or since this looks like a virtual shadow map problem - try changing the ‘Shadow Map Method’ in Project Settings.
Thank you I will give it a go, do you think that can be a problem if on the screen i see the texture streaming error?
That could be related (Shadow maps are stored in VRAM too?), but I think you’d see an error message (Red text in upper left of screen) that specifically mentions Virtual Shadow Maps.
Than you again, I will try and let you know
