[Help] How to use two cameras simultaneously in ue5

Hi, I’m currently working on a project to record a sequence of video for the same scene(And the scene also changes from time to time).

So I’m hoping I can have two cameras recording simultaneously as they have different post processing effects. Is there a way I can do this? Thanks a lot!

I tried Master sequence but it’s not simultaneously recorded

If I put it like this, it just records by order. But if I put two shots in the same period, it only saves the one on top. Is there a way I can save two files seperately?

In other words: when I put two camera cuts in one master sequencer, why is only the first one rendered?

are you sure you are rendering the master sequence and not just the single level sequence?

Hey @hejzhang,
So can you drag the other clip below the first one? I’m not personally sure about recording simultaneously, but you should definitely be able to move those clips in the Master Sequencer where you see fit.

I hope this can help!

HI,@FaradayPrime. Yes, the screenshot above is from master sequence, but I want both shots recording simultaneously rather than in order.

Hi Zen,

Thank you for the information. I saw from the doc you shared that: “When multiple shot tracks are being used, shots placed in the top tracks will be prioritized”.

I haven’t found an answer whether I can record both of them(idealy to two files).

Best,

An update to the process:

It’s still unsolved. When I put two sequencers together, it will only record the top one. And in Movie Render Queue, I can only edit the top sequencer.

If I add both sequencers in the Movie Render Queue, they are not rendered simultaneously.

When you have two shots sitting on top of eachother, it will always render the top one.

Yes, that’s why I’m wondering if I can render them simultaneously:/

To someone who’s also looking for a solution for this:

I used Adobe After Effects to solve this problem.(Export original video with custom stencil and post-process in AE).
