I have other asset packs on the market and this is my first time having this issue. I have an asset pack with two levels, one for a demo (it is a modular kit so it showcases a build using them) and one is a showcase map with all the assets lined up on display. ALL lighting is set to moveable. All of it. I have quadruple checked. I have none the less clicked ‘build lighting’ multiple times on both maps to be sure.
I keep submitting my asset pack for publishing and getting ‘changes needed’ back, being told to build lighting. I don’t know how to handle this. I have asked what they mean but I am not really getting any sort of response. Please advise.
I have a sky light in both maps but both of these as well as their components are set to moveable, not static… Nothing has even changed so I am not sure why the thing being failed is different now. NOTHING is static as far as ANY lighting goes.
You may not use static lighting, but what about the people who buy the asset?
As a guess: It may be that the marketplace team believes assets should work both with, and without, static lighting, so they want you to turn on and build static lighting and verify it works before you submit. You can then submit without static lighting.
None of my other packs use static lighting so that must be a new thing I guess. It doesn’t appear to say anywhere in the rules that assets need to be built in static lighting though.
The person isn’t requesting it be static either, and now they’re saying that isn’t even the issue anymore but it’s basically an engine bug.
