I have a metahuman animation recorded in Take Recorder from a Live Link animation driven by iClone using Timecode sync. The animation looks good but in the middle of it the hair groom disappears from the Metahuman.
Curiously, if I have the spawned metahuman selected in the Outliner, the hair groom does not disappear. Here is a quick video that illustrates the problem:
I am curious whether anyone may have any ideas what might be going on here.
To get the usual questions out of the way:
- the groom exists only at LOD 0 and LODSync forces the LOD to 0 for the groom.
- the groom has a binding asset that binds it to the face skeleton
- the groom disappears both when playing the sequence in the editor and when rendering via MRQ.
- there are other moments in the sequence when the groom flickers in and out of existence but these are not easily repeatable
