connecting a scalar value to the grass input node in the material causes a crash

Thank you for your report. I was able to reproduce this issue and have reported it as UE-15069. We will begin investigating a solution to this issue and as we find new information I will report back here.

Thanks, I fixed this crash for Preview 2.
Note that you can’t use this to change the grass density at runtime because grass maps are generated from the material in the editor. You can parameterize some part of the grass input and control it in a Material Instance Constant in the editor, however.
