A GPU crash occurs when enabling r.LumenScene.FarField in our title when run on a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with latest drivers (577.00) . This can be reproduced by loading L_Expanse in Lyra, either using the Perforce 5.6.0 release, or vanilla 5.6.0 from the Epic Launcher and enabling r.LumenScene.FarField via the console.
This appears to be specific to Nvidia 5000 series GPUs.
Thanks for reporting this and providing the repro steps, we have been able to repro the crash.
We are currently investigating a few issues when running both CitySample and Lyra on Nvidia 50xx whose root cause is likely the same one as this crash.
Unfortunately there’s no workaround yet, but we will provide an update once we know more or have fixed the issue.
After updating to the latest NVIDIA drivers (580.88) everything seems to be functioning and I’m no longer seeing the GPU crash. Is this the expected fix or should we hold off for an engine update before deploying 5.6.0 to our team?

Sorry about that, there are some aspects of the issue that prevented it from being made public that should be resolved now, but the issue hasn’t been marked as resolved yet. We are still in the process of verifying the fix using the latest drivers and our internal test cases.
