I have a map that I’m working on that uses many GothicRuins crates. After the 31.00 release, it seems that these props no longer have static meshes attached to them.
Steps to Reproduce
Create a new blank map
Insert any GothicRuins Crate into the scene
See that the crate is missing its static mesh. Nothing appears except the transform widget
It does happen in different projects, even if I start a new one with a blank map. Verify files doesn’t seem to have any effect. I do see the extra props being added to the content browser however.
If you click on the ‘Static Mesh Component’ in the details panel I’m guessing the Static Mesh reference is just blank/null? (On my end I see that the Static Mesh is named ‘SM_TRV_GothicRuins_Crate_01’, and I’m not able to clear or change it.)
Just as a random check - are they also missing if you place ‘Haunted Hills Prop Gallery’ and ‘Haunted Prop Gallery’?
This is an asset that’s basically ‘read-only’ so I’m not sure about any other troubleshooting ideas.
This bug is still present for me as well. The static mesh for all the Gothic crates is null, they are invisible in UEFN and in game but the collisions are still present albeit buggy. I thought the patch today would fix the problem but it persists.
Also, I’m guessing the static mesh for the crate go disconnected from the asset somehow on the epic side. When looking at the placed Crates now there is nothing in the static mesh component now. Hopefully it’s an easy fix. I have an existing map that has almost 100 of these crates.
