Geometry Cache level sequence baker

Hi there..

I need some tutorial for the plugin “Geometry Cache level sequence baker”, I cannot able to find one on the internet.

Need to export a character animation as a geometry cache from the sequencer. Thanks in advance.

You can export a character animation from a level sequence by doing the following:

  1. In the Editor, open the level sequence or subsequence containing the animation
  2. Select your character
  3. Run the Tools > Bake Geometry Cache option to export the Geometry cache

Here’s a screenshot of what that menu looks like:

[Image Removed]You should be prompted for a location to save the output and then be able to press “Bake” to begin the process.

You may be able to export the geometry cache as a .usd asset and then import that into Maya or Houdini. Unfortunately, I don’t have those installed to verify the import process.

Thankyou for the quick answer and it is working now. Can we export the cache to use in Maya or Houdini? Now the cache is in .uasset format, which we can use them in Unreal only. Help me if there is a way.
