Game Crashing during Edit Sessions, Playtest Codes, and Private codes

Summary

Hello, I work with SypherPK and SuperJoy Studios as a landscape artist for their Reboot 2 map and am in charge of memory calculations and code creation.

Ever since 31.10, new and existing codes for our playtest teams have been crashing clients, seemingly on all platforms. Given errors involve something cook related. And I’ve observed from another forum post that it may be some issue with an asset or material, however none of the logs or errors are giving pointers. I also saw someone was able to provide information for what asset was causing issues. Sometimes reverting to earlier revisions fixes it temporarily, only for it to return on its own. The public release works fine (was published before update), but if I revert our playtesters to said version the public release is on, the crashing is present as well. We have dozens of custom assets, trees, materials that were non-problematic prior to the update and I’m willing to bet it’s a single asset that is causing the issue, but we would rather consult here before tearing the map apart trying to find it.

Willing to provide any additional info regarding the issue.

Loading into unpublished island code and playing for 3-10 minutes waiting for a crash

Expected Result

playing for 3-10 minutes on any recent private code will result in an eventual crash of the entire client

Observed Result

Client crashes 3-10 minutes into each session

Additional Notes

Removing all custom assets stops the crashing, but it would be nice to know which specific one is causing the issue to fix hours of cherry picking to find it.

Might be related to server garage collection, we reported Server crashes several minutes after using Verse to create a temporary instance of material with a parameter (workaround included for our issue)
