You cant import uasset files -> you have to just add the files into your content folder (like in the video) :slight_smile:

Why exactly cant you update your project, because in 4.7 and 4.8 you can find some awesome foilage improvements?

But iĀ“ve a prob to get material into my project: All is flatten and grey.
I use UE4 4.8.0 tried all the methods you showed up on Youtube, but it dont work cause
when i use any of the meshes and place it onto the ground it will grey out.
Also all the others textures and meshes just a few of the starter material in UE4 works fine.
When i grab the material itĀ“s suddenly greyā€¦

Please can somebody help me?

Hmm, seems like you lost some references -> when you do a double click on the material, can you still see the textures in it?

Sorry didnt saw your post. The prob. is in Unreal engine it works but in Unreal Tournament Editor it wont work. And i ask myself whyā€¦

  1. geh zu dem UT content ordner -> UT/UnrealTournamentEditor/UnrealTournament/Content
  2. kopier alles was in dem content ordner (Showcase_Assets, meshes, textures,ā€¦) vom foilage pack ist in den UT content ordner.
  3. jetzt sollte es funken

i have a problem with pack, everytime I wanā€™t to place a tree or any kind of foliage the textures or materials disaprear, i also canā€™t find them in the folder. plz help :frowning:

Has anyone tried to use grass or/and foliage on mobile devices? Iā€™ve compiled one of the maps coming with the package for iOS and when I run it on an iPad Air 2 all foliage and grass are just grey, like if there was no shader compiled. Do I do anything wrong or are they desktop-only assets? I think Iā€™ve seen the same problem with the tree Epic provides in the Blueprint example map (the one with the 3 surveillance cameras and the tree) so it might not be specific to package.

I havent tested it on a mobile device, but I will do that tomorrow :slight_smile:

Delete the part with the world position offset, after that it should work

hey sorry super new to unreal. when i imported all of the files, all the static meshes are just white and block like. is there a step i missed that lays the textures on them?
