How have you imported them? -> do it like in video:
Hi ! Just wanted to sign up and pop in to say thanks for , and itās very much appreciated for us beginners! I havenāt even started learning yet (plan to in the near future!) - but I can tell will be a great resource for backwards deconstructing and learning. Iām curious though, while doing some research apparently thereās a new foliage shading model (not entirely sure that means yet) - and does package utilize that? Also, I assume package is probably well optimized and things wonāt take a great performance hit when all is said and done?
Anyways, thanks again and look forward to playing with one!
Thank you so much.
I have a question: When you update the package as you said, will you post it here or in a new thread?
and if it is a new thread, I hope you will inform us here.
Thank you again.
I will post it into thread
It is a great pack but I have a problem with lighting. (I use 4.8.2 ver - can it be because of the engine update?)

some trees go black, some just really dark, some light but none of them have proper shadow.
I have a skylight and light-mass importance volume + light source. Changing dimensions of trees, how far are they from ground and other objects does not work.
Only changing light source to movable made it look adequate.
Is there any other way to fix the packās lighting?
I want to thank you for the content first off but Iām having trouble importing the Pack. Iām aware of the Migration tool but before you use that tool im guessing you have to move the folders into unrealā¦whats the process and which folders?
Just extract the .rar file and open the project -> inside the rar folder you will find a uproject file which will start the editor
Thank you for the quick reply! Do you have any tips to speed up Lighting Build times when painting grass on a mesh/ landscape. how long was the build time for the example level when you load up the Veg pack?
-place a lightmass importance volume
-reduce the lightmap resolution
I personally always use dynamic lights for scenes with vegetation, because you dont have to build the light + it looks better
Hey thanks for the mesh pack! I love your videos. Can you help out with an I am having? I am trying to use these meshes with the UT4 version of UE4. I put the files within a folder where I have customer meshes/textures at. When I navigate to your textures they look normal, but as soon as I try to use the meshes or textures, they go change to the default world texture. How can I fix ?
Hello ! thanks so much for the assets. These are really helpful in learning unreal engine.
Hmm normally it should work. You have to do it like that:
- go to the UT content folder -> UT/UnrealTournamentEditor/UnrealTournament/Content
- copy everything into the folder (Showcase_Assets, meshes, textures,ā¦)
- now it should work
Now when you have them in your folder, open the editor - create a new folder - move the assets in the content browser
hi i am a beginner on unreal ungine 4ā¦why is that i cannot find ur files to my proj ?..i mean for example i want to use ur trees to put it to my proj ā¦something like that ā¦i cant find it .
Just extract the .rar file - open the project - follow tutorial:
Thanks a lot! is just what I needed.
Very cool, thanks for sharing.
No of these working with 4.5 huh? Forced to use 4.5 with Ark dev kit
It is possible to use them with 4.5, but you will have to use a different kind of shader setup (the old way) -> just export everything - import it - create the new material ( posts from )
Hey man thanks for sharing for free, is really useful for a lot of us beginners. I have a question if you donāt mind.
I migrated all of the assets successfully and Iām using the foliage tool to add a forest. The texture on the trees doesnāt scale properly? Not sure if it has to do with the UVās? The trees look fine in the mesh editor. Iām using the Birchbark material instance. Hereās a screenshot of what that looks like:

And in the editor:

Thanks!
thanks a lot you save us from getting broke you should be a millionaire to get all the asset to learn :D.
