After today’s update (2025-02-21) players are crashing after attempting to connect to the creative map “Miner Tycoon”, I have received multiple report of older/weaker systems no longer being able to connect to the map, specifically Switch & PS4
It doesn’t seem to occur for every creative map, these players were able to connect to other creative maps and Battle Royale, but every time they go back to Miner Tycoon it crashes them without fail. Prior to today’s update players were able to load in without issue.

hi @SandPidgeon ,
On the Switch Hydra (25th Sept 2024) the updating message occurs at 100% and waits eventually crashing with the Software crashed then Fornite itself crashes and is taken back to the main Nintendo Switch screen mine is Fortnite 34.00,0 . Space available 6.0 GB standard 17.7GB used for Fortnite. New load from scratch,
run on Windows 11 Fortnite 34.00 reports a very slow network connection but gets there in the end. In fact, my network is quick at 67MB/s
The Xbox One X is very slow and went back to the lobby 3 times before the game loaded, had to click a yellow Join button twice?. Never seen that before, eventually loaded but very slow to play
The quickest and smoothest is the Samsung Galaxy S10e, three years old, so very low end
but the fastest to load Fortnite 34.00 . A really useful message may be “Preparing Shaders” ,
This does not appear on Switch, just crashes with the error message
In the 2 creative games I play (Havoc Hotel 3 and Miner Tycoon) I notice the game temporarily locks up for roughly 20-30 seconds after I hit “Updating 100%”.
My system is Windows 11 Home (10.0.26100), i9-14900KF, 4070TS (driver 32.0.15.7242), 32gb RAM. Fortnite is running in DX11 mode and is installed on a MX500 2TB SSD.
Issue started 02/21/25, after the latest Fortnite update.
