Foliage looks unlit in shadows and distance

My foliage in my scene looks like its unlit in shadows and

when u look at it from a distance.
I want it to have a smooth look everywhere and not look unlit im not sure how to fix it.

Could be a lot of things. Have you built light?

Even when you’re using dynamic, grass will look weird until you’ve built.

ive built lighting in the lvl before but im mostly using dyanmic lighting.

im pretty sure its just something that happens by default in the engine but i dont remember any of my other projects having wierd lighting like that. Even after getting rid of lighting build data regristry looks like that.
